How To Get Your Dog To Play Frisbee

This is the greatest trick of all.  Teaching your dog to play frisbee with you is easy, just use patience as each dog has their own unique personality.  All of our white German shepherd dogs are capable of this.
This is how to do it.

Start with a tennis ball.  Play this for several months, have your dog bring the ball back to you.  Keep your sessions short, less than 15 minutes at a time, or they will lose interest (end your sessions before this happens).

Now that your dog is way into playing with the tennis ball and catches it in the air, learning the frisbee game will happen fast.  Get a friend and play catch with a frisbee, about 20 ft. apart.  Every four or five catches throw the frisbee on the ground in front of your dog, and encourage them to bring it to you.

Keep throwing the frisbee with your friend, and every few times to your dog.  Then throw the frisbee so your dog can catch it in the air.  Once they catch it in the air, you have a great new game to play with your dog!

Be patient, have fun, and use large amounts of praise.
